On Saturday afternoon I went down to the Portland Saturday Market. Apparently it's the largest continually operating outdoor arts and crafts market in the nation. Hello! I'm there! It was at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park, under the Burnside Bridge between 1st Avenue and Naito Parkway. And over on to Ankeny Plaza. There were crafts, food, art, entertainment, you name it.
There was even a booth where you could have a clay sculpture of your face made while you waited. (It reminded me of those street artists that do caricatures.) But I wondered if one of me would turn out like Mom's elementary school sculpture that everyone makes fun of. So I passed.
But I did find a hat booth. And I picked up a couple of new ones to add to my collection at home. These will come in handy come July when Jenni and I are roaming around Europe. (Because really, who wants to spend time in the bathroom primping when you could be out eating waffles in Brussels and pastries in Paris. Or people-watching in Prague. Or singing in Salzburg. The hills are alive!)
More to come . . .

Singing and DANCING in Salzburg! Although, I found out that the gazebo is locked because some drunk idiot broke his leg jumping across the benches.
I need a new hat.
