49-10

Scott and I made a trip to Fort Collins, CO this weekend for the BYU v. CSU football game. I had a blast. There were times that I found myself laughing harder and feeling happier than I have for a long time. And it felt good.

This was my first visit to Hughes Stadium. It was a relatively small place, particularly compared to LaVell Edwards Stadium. And there were a ton of BYU fans there. (Can I tell you how much I love being part of a team that has such a huge following no matter where you go?!) It ended up being a chilly, windy day and the second half brought with it a snow storm. But we had planned for such inclement weather and stayed fairly warm. I say fairly because, let's be honest, it was cold. And we got cold. But we weren't miserable. And we certainly didn't drive seven hours to leave the game early! And it was a great game. So much fun. BYU played really well and was a team to be proud of. After the game we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and to watch what was left of the TCU v. SDSU, Notre Dame v. Utah, and Auburn v. George football games. Once they were over, we got on the road back to Utah. We made it all the way to the Little American in Wyoming last night and then home early this afternoon.

That was such a great game! I didn't go, but we listened to it on the radio. My son, Justin, and 6 of his friends flew in from California for it. I don't know if BYU will play teams in Colorado next years, but know that you are ALWAYS welcome to stay here! ;o) So glad you were able to go.
