Lettuce

Hung with Luke Friday night.

We had a long conversation about when he grows up
and serves a mission: he's looking forward to speaking
Spanish so that he and Scott can have a conversation
without anyone else in the family understanding it. :)

I wonder what he wants to talk about . . .

Hahahaha... I love Luke. The kid is so RANDOM, he makes me laugh out loud. I do love that he's planning a secret coversation that's a good 15 years in the future. Oh, that's excellent...

Oh, so sweet. A few nights ago as we were getting ready for family prayer, Luke asked Scott if he would say the prayer in Spanish. He said he would. After he was finished, I asked the boys if they had understood any of what Scott had said. Brandon identified "Padre" as meaning "Father in Heaven, and several other words that were a but more obscure. I asked Luke if Heavenly Father would be able to understand the prayer, even though it was in Spanish. He flashed me that look that I've come to learn means something like "Duh, Grandma." And he answered my question this way. "Heavenly Father understands EVERYTHING."

Thanks for doing that for Luke, Scott. Tender mercies.
