Anyhow, this camping adventure was only one night so I didn't grab much. Matt and Jen had a tent they said I could borrow. I figured that since I didn't have an air mattress, and I sure as heck wasn't about to sleep on the cold, hard ground, that I would just use my futon mattress and a couple of pillows and blankets. I also grabbed the first bag I could find (which happened to be the sweet red leather bag I bought in Los Angeles) and filled it with a book, my pajamas, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and my contact case and solution. I didn't really think much about my camping gear until we were at the campsite and I was unloading my belongings into the tent. Everyone started laughing at me. Heck, I was laughing at myself! I didn't look one bit like a camper. But, like I said before, I'm no camper.
But, in the end, I had a really great time. It was a relaxing and beautiful night. I'd forgotten how nice it is to sit around the campfire and roast hot dogs and smores and to sleep in the breeze of the mountains. I'd like to do it again.

Oh dear I am not much of a camper either, but I am glad you went and had a good time!
You know what? I might just consider camping myself if I had a futon, a good book and a sweet red purse like that!
Kudos to you, girl child! Dad accuses me of only liking to camp in a nice hotel on Hollywood and Vine. Thinking of a futon pillow was brilliant. Necessity IS the mother of invention, isn't it?
Oh, and (I'm having memory lapses) I really love the Cougar clip and the slogan rocks! Bring it on!
Nice purse - this photo is a classic! You are too funny!
Did you all notice what music that BYU clip was using? Halo! That sounds like an endorsement from the church school. :)
