The concert started with Daughtry at 8:00 pm and they were great. So often a great recording artist is sub-par on stage but Chris Daughtry was definitely not in that category; he was a great entertainer. I only wish that their performance had been longer. I could have listened to them for hours; they were that good.

After a brief intermission, Bon Jovi was on stage until well after 10:30 pm. He was great, just fabulous, so gosh darn cute and oh, that smile, my heart stops just thinking about it . . . and Richie Sambora's guitar playing was a-mazing, just fantastic. The set wasn't all that elaborate which just goes to show that good music doesn't need a lot of smoke and mirrors. Bon Jovi obviously hasn't lost his touch; his music continues to be top notch.

After the concert we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. This place is one of my all-time favorite restaurants and, unfortunately for me, there isn't one in Utah. I'm telling you, the rays of heaven shine down upon this place and their fabulous buffalo wings. And it doesn't hurt that the walls are covered with televisions showing nothing but sports.
Although the entire trip was fantastic, I have to admit that the best part of the weekend was the epiphany I had in regards to family and friends. There are just no substitutes for them. Who would have thought that six people, in very different stages in their lives, brought together by a job, would become such good friends? I’m grateful to have people in my life who just love me for being me and who jump at the chance to join me on the ride of life.
