Education Week: Rexburg or Bust

A few months ago my mom, Jenni, and I thought about getting tickets for Education Week. And then we took into consideration the fact that they were doing sessions at BYU-I in Rexburg, ID, and well, there was no question we were in. I absolutely love Idaho. There is just something about it that feels like home to me; a peaceful flood of farm and college memories hits me like a cool breeze the minute I step foot in the state. It's been that way for years. (And for those of you that know Idaho, likening it to a "cool breeze" is, in reality, not far off.) So we booked a hotel, got our tickets, and made our way north Wednesday night with plans to stay until Sunday. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are class days and we plan on going to the new Rexburg temple a couple of times in between. Talk about a spiritual high.

More to come . . .

The trip was all that it was cracked up to be, my sweet daughters. There was a part of me that actually missed the beauty and slower pace of Idaho. It was good to go back. And Ed Week? Fabulous, as you know. Can we make this an annual event? Again, thanks, Lisa, for spearheading this. It was wonderful.
